My name is Summer Diab, 24 years old and I am a Multimedia Journalist and an aspiring On-air Meteorologist with the NWA seal. I graduated with a B.A. in Multimedia Journalism, concentration Broadcast-Television in May 2017. While I attended Columbia College Chicago, I ended up interning for several media companies-both print and broadcast where I gained print and T.V. writing, to floor directing and editing packages, etc. Plus, I was able to publish a handful of articles on ChicagoTalks, NBC 5 Chicago, Hyde Park Herald and The Chronicle (Columbia's Award-winning student publication).
After college, I accepted my first on-air T.V. job as a Meteorologist and Reporter in Bangor, Maine with WABI-TV in October 2017. Then I jumped to Eau Claire, Wisconsin with WEAU-TV as a Weather Anchor and Multimedia Journalist. This is where I improved tremendously on camera and behind the scenes with writing for T.V., print and honing my shooting and editing skills.
Currently, I am attending Mississippi State University as I obtain the Broadcast Operational Meteorological Certificate. In addition, I create weather graphics for the Chicagoland, surrounding suburbs, and Northwest Indiana areas. I use my knowledge from prior T.V. experiences and share information to the public via my social media platforms.
Thank you for stopping by.
